PROJECT ASSOCIATE

Project Title: Youth Led Interventions
Location: New Delhi
Assignment Duration: August 2024 to March 2025 (with potential for extension)
Assignment Type: Employment Contract

Jhini Learning LLP operates in collaboration with Dhriiti – The Courage Within, a non-profit organization founded in 2004 that focuses on building resilience through enterprise and entrepreneurship. Together, we aim to foster youth-led entrepreneurship initiatives that promote gender equality, climate positivity, and community resilience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Project Associate, you will be integral to project and partnership management, implementation, and administrative coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Monitoring:

  • Assist in short and medium-term planning for resilience-focused entrepreneurship projects.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure alignment with plans.

Implementation:

  • Engage with community members and entrepreneurs across various states.
  • Coordinate and organize capacity-building workshops and training sessions.
  • Facilitate mentor meetings and peer learning sessions.
  • Support the design and facilitation of workshops, events, and conferences.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for partnership development and resource dissemination.
  • Coordinate field activities and logistics.

Documentation, Evaluation, and Reporting:

  • Document community and entrepreneur engagements.
  • Compile and analyze data to produce comprehensive project outcome reports.
  • Present findings to stakeholders, emphasizing impact and lessons learned.

Visibility and Dissemination:

  • Enhance visibility for teams, projects, and entrepreneurs through impact stories and anecdotes.
  • Support digital outreach efforts via social media platforms.
  • Contribute to the organizational newsletter, annual report, and website content.
  • Actively participate in organizational processes and meetings.

Functional Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in engaging with youth on gender, climate, livelihoods, and health issues. Experience in climate dialogues and entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Knowledge Management and Learning: Empathetic knowledge sharing and commitment to personal development.
  • Development and Operational Effectiveness: Excellent communication skills, meticulous documentation, problem-solving ability, and effective use of technology.

Required Skills & Experience:

Education:

  • Graduate degree in political science, sociology, social work, development studies, education, social sciences, economics, or business from a reputed institution.
  • Basic understanding of business finance and accounting.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, with additional preference given to experience in youth-based initiatives.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Hindi. Knowledge of additional Indian languages is an asset.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: INR 3.60 – 4.20 lacs per annum.
